A review panel, a prompt library, investigations and peer-to-peer messages.

New

  • Review panel: open the last dictation, edit it, reformat it, copy it, or replace the inserted text.
  • Live text in the status pill while you dictate.
  • Formatting passes: run AI formatting more than once, each pass refining the last.
  • Prompt library: named, tagged, versioned prompts. Type @ in any instruction field to insert one; it shows as a chip.
  • Investigations: collect text, screenshots, links and voice notes as cards, see them as a chronology or a diagram, and ask the assistant, which cites your cards. Screenshot text is read by local OCR.
  • Messages: peer-to-peer messaging over Tor onion services, off by default.

Better

  • New starter defaults: Accurate dictation with two-pass custom formatting.

Fixed

  • Saving settings no longer closes the app or makes it stop responding.
  • Instant (Vosk) recognition no longer reports "no speech" after a quiet start.
  • Custom formatting rewrites as instructed instead of barely changing the text.
  • Settings written by a newer version no longer prevent Phorminx from starting.

  • Give feedback failed with "Feedback was not confirmed" on every submission. Feedback now reaches phorminx.net.

No app changes from 0.2.0. This release was built from the same code and published right after it, so the signed update path could deliver a newer version to installed copies.

The first public release: dictation, meetings with live translation, and an assistant, in a new desktop app that updates itself.

  • New desktop app: Home, History, Meetings, Actions, Models, Settings and Setup in one window, with light and dark themes.
  • Meeting companion: a resizable window with Transcript, Together and Assistant views that stays beside your call.
  • Live translation: a local model adds a translation under each meeting line; the original is always kept.
  • Automatic updates: signed releases are checked daily and installed when Phorminx is closed or idle, never during a recording. Restart to update in Settings installs right away.
  • Branded installer: opens a guided setup that can prepare everything in one run.

Fixed

  • The tray and launcher showed a generic Windows icon instead of the Phorminx mark.
