Install Phorminx on Windows.

The installer is built for Windows 10 and 11 on x64 systems. Phorminx is currently alpha software.

FIRST SETUP

Choose the speech models that fit your work.

  1. 01

    Install the application

    Download the current installer from GitHub Releases and run it as your normal Windows user.

  2. 02

    Open Models in Settings

    Phorminx keeps speech models separate from the application installer and guides their configuration inside the application.

  3. 03

    Choose a recognition mode

    Instant mode uses Vosk for resident recognition. Accurate mode uses Whisper and can use Vulkan acceleration on compatible systems.

  4. 04

    Set the shortcut

    The default shortcut opens the launcher. Settings lets you change the shortcut, appearance, models, and retention preferences.

MODEL STORAGE

Allow several gigabytes for models and runtime files.

The final amount depends on the recognition, formatting, and search models you install. GPU acceleration also depends on a compatible graphics driver and Vulkan support.
